I use a top heavy piece of wood to keep as muck bottom area clear for the big guy. The Java moss grows like crazy up near the lights.

They are little delicate when they are Juv's but as the pack on the weight then there is no switch to stop them for becoming a beast and make the tank look small.

They get BIG and will starve if they have to compete with koi for food. This guy is about 12 years old
