Don't worry about it, everyone gets paranoid at one point or another when they really love their hobby. From fish keepers to reptile keepers to bird keepers and so on and so forth, we all fall in love with our respective hobbies and get worried and sometimes even paranoid because we want the best for our pets whom we love so much.
One would hope it is only superficial.
How thick is your glass on that big tank?
I think your paranoia is justified. That's a lot of pressure at a low spot on a joint.
I would think that if it hasn't chipped down the the glue point, you're prolly ok!

Here is a chip on a 150 gal I had set up 24/7 for over 30 years, and it is still set up at a friends house.
