Chlorine poisoning?

I recently bought 2 EBA, and in a week's time, white spots started to show up on both. I immediately treated the tank with Quick Cure to prevent spreading to dozens other tankmakes. Quick Cure is a Malachite Green remedy likes yours. The white spots went away in 3 day treatment, but one EBA didn't make it and died a few days later with heavy breathing. EBA is weaker fish and the ick has advanced to late stage inside the gills

It looks like your EBA came with ick and your treatment was too late to save them. Your WC may not have anything to do with their death, just coincidence. 30% WC with conditioner isn't too big a change to cause death. The reason your catfish also died is that scaleless fish is sensitive to MG treatment, and the instructions tell you to use half dosage.

The ich came from the skirt tetras. As it dissapeared from the tetras, it hit the acaras hard. I treated with 2/3 dose to help the catfish.
Lost the last acara last night. Was hopeful because he ate twice yesterday...ugghhhh. Also lost 2 lampeye tetras overnight. None of them showed any signs of anything so that one surprised me. They were all aggressively eating and schooling.

Didnt take pics of the fish. The acaras turned white before they died. Like a fish would look a day after they died. No redness anywhere. Gill plates were shut tight, but no signs of trauma. Mouths were all open like they were saying "Oh Nooooooo".

When a lot of fish are added at once to a tank, I'm not sure how one knows which ones brought the ich parasite. It can literally drop off of a fish the moment it's placed in a tank of water.

I added the tetras and danios first. Day after I added them the skirts had spots. Went to petsmart and sure enough thier skirts had spots as well. Danios and lamps were clean at the store just like mine. One of the skirts died right away. Petsmart pulled them from thier tanks that day when I pointed it out. Acaras had just been added when I noticed ich on the skirts. Temps were low so it must have taken a couple days to spread to acaras, but when it did....boom.
Went to the lfs where I got the acaras and the ones they still had were clean.
