have you tried other food like shrimp from the store or anything else, reason I ask is because comets can carry disease along with fish lice and other nasty stuff. also I am curious when did you get him and at what size, and he is 13 inch now how long did that take ? Like growth rate?

He is about 2 years old now, took him about 1.5 years to get to where he is in terms of size and was about 1' when we got him; although he got to about 10' VERY fast and the last few inches were slow. We have tried feeding him bloodworms, shrimp, pellets etc. however he refuses to eat anything that isn't fighting back, it all just sits there in his tank.
