I still have the 9og that split a seam and a 135g with a split corner and I just saw a 125g on CL for $100. I'm not a hoarder of aquariums nor fish. :uhoh:

Picked up another one. There’s a definite difference in head shape between them. I saw her ovipositor down when I first saw her at AP couple weeks ago. She does back down from from the male.
She’s a couple inches shorter and definitely not as chunky. 7FE233E0-346E-4573-B403-91FA0C7DF274.jpeg

I did a 50%ish cold water change on the 220g Saturday as an experiment to a see if it would effect the aggressive behavior. It worked. They still posture with open mouths and the male does the whole body quiver but it seems more like trying to attract a mate. He allows her behind the branch where he wouldn’t at first. 548883E4-2A54-404E-8A74-150FEC8F18CF.jpeg77454B39-77BC-4D9D-98FE-EA717538E64B.jpeg

My female is very food motivated. If I lift the lid to feed she attacks and I have been bit 2-3 times now. I’ve tried getting her to attack after feeding has started and she will check out my finger tip at the surface but swims away.
