  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Those are some stunning chocolate cichlids.......... I hope mine grow up to be like that. I have 2. I was orginally going to get an oscar to go with my uaru, but I figured chocolates are more peacufuller and live in uaru water. So I got 2 nice babies to grow out. They are nice too.
Here they are...

i would think a pair would be ok for a while, but may look and feel cramped as they get bigger. to OP my chocolate was great, did well with severums,he ran the tank but not a bully,i miss him!

Here's a pic of a pair of my 'temporalis' (about 3 years old) guarding fry in a 130 G a few days ago. I was totally shocked when I found the female dead yesterday. I have no idea what happened to her. One of my favorite SAs.

I just picked up one a few days ago.... already in love with the big guy. I started to call him my "puppy fish" because he always comes to the front of the tank when I call his name. After becoming so attached to mine in less than 72 hours I can imagine how rotten it feels to lose one you've had for so long, especially when she was 1/2 of breeding pair.
