chocolate cichlid tankmates?

would a chocolate cichlid be good with a angelfish or a festivum cichlid?
 
Why not leave it in with your severums like in your avatar pic? I wouldn't trust an adult with angelfish or festivums unless it's a really big tank.

well i got rid of my sevs and now i am going for a peaceful cichlid tank.
 
I've kept mine with tetras and gouramis. It's a wussy cichlid. Currently he is in with 2 oscars, GT, firemouth, indo dat, and a texas cichlid. I'm not sure about the angelfish but it would probably be ok with the festivum. They are pretty laid back, and not aggressive or boisterous. The only time they are bad is when there are co-specifics around. The only reason i have mine with aggressive fish now is because they are all afraid of it, because of it's size.
 
ok well i and going to have him with 3 geos. what about a rainbow cichlid?
 
In my main community, I raised a bunch of juvie cichlids up, and my chocolate and geo males didn't make the cut. Have them in their own tank now, with a choc female, and they are fine. This tank has also given me the option to save a few bucks, and grow out baby silver dollars and bichirs for the big tank, and they are fine.. Chocolates are pansies, but AWESOME personable fish..

Super pansies. One of the best personalities of all my cichlids though. Ive almost gotten rid of mine a few times, but i can't do it. He's just to funny and personable
