Saw a chocolate cichlid at the LFS and I recall them being about as aggressive as an angel fish towards other species - I'd like to put one of these guys in an 80 gallon with a harem of Geophagus sp. Tapajos "Orange Head" but thought I'd get some opinions from those of you who have kept the fish recently.

Thanks.

That sounds like a nice mix... Whats up with the orangeheads??? I was given a link to some on aquabid...

I've heard of them as being very aggresive and some very docile ones. Tank size and the individual make the end result in most cases.

mine show no aggression to other fish in the tank, except each other. it's not real bad, just some chasing and the occassional nipped fin.

Don't know Rob, I'm still digging around for them, I'm sure they'll turn up sooner or later, haven't heard back from anyone yet.
Check yer PM...

Are you sure they are really chocolates?
