it may have worked fine, but it is unnecessary, as they will be big and well-colored as long as they are fed high quality food (nls, omega one, hikari) and receive good care. no problem with feeding crickets on occasion, but there is more benefit to be gained from prepared food these days

i just do it as an extra, since it is part of their natural diet, and spend a lot of their time looking up at the surface for them. one more thing i can do for him, on top of his hikari staple and others.

it doesn't hurt, and is beneficial anyways. i have crazy amounts of moths by my front door waiting.
