Released to Oklahoma River..........
If it stays warm it might....................OH WELL
 I seriously hope you are kidding about releasing a non-native tropical into a local river! First it will probably die, that is the best possible outcome. Hopefully there are not others there so it won't spawn. :(
If it lives and is caught by someone it will lead to a large waste of state resources as they look for more of them and will probably show up in the news misidentified as a piranha leading to even more species of fish being banned.
You may have introduced different strains of fish disease into the river.
Finally, it is illegal, you can be fined and even jailed for that.

DO NOT EVER RELEASE A NON-NATIVE SPECIES INTO THE WILD!!! :swear:

If you cannot keep a fish and can't find a home for it then do the right thing and bash in it's head with a friggin hammer!

Well said. Or you could put it in a plastic bag and freeze it.

I hope u didnt release it either.... but if u kill it u might as well try eating it :naughty:

I think he said "RELEASED" so that would mean, YES it was released to a local river. Bad move. I placed my 16" pacus into my backyard above ground pool that has no chlorine in it. Winter has brought down the temp on it at 55 degrees, very cold to the touch. They died in a few minutes. I don't think those fish would survive in a river that is cold (crossing my fingers). I cleaned the pacus that died in minutes, took out the guts and scales, and placed them in the freezer. Soon to be MY dinner, not the family. I think it is safe for consumption. Have a cold beer with it.

To all my fellow MFK members: PLEASE DO NOT RELEASE ANY CAPTIVE, AQUARIUM, fish into your local rivers, lakes and ponds. DON'T give fish keepers, hobbyists, a bad reputation, be responsible.
