So I've been augmenting my warmouths regular meals of earthworms, nightcrawlers, crickets and super worms with whatever I find flying around the porch light outside. He goes nuts over moths. The way they flick around on the surface drives him insane. He likes great big crane flies, and tonight he got a special treat. I always have house gecko's around, but most are much too big for him. tonight I saw and caught a very small juvenlie gecko...the fish said Chomp Chomp.

There's something creepy cool about watching a fish eat a land vertabrate.

House Gecko Hemidactylus frenatus like the gecko on the Geico commercials. Its an invasive species from southeast Asia but now common in the south.

Yep,

We are a port city, so we have ton's of gecko's. While they are non native invasives, I don't know of any ill effects of having them around. They are great at insect control.

Why not? It's an invasive non native, and there are tons of them around here. I know fish eat frogs, lizards and such in the wild when they get the chance.

If it's an invasive species, why not?

Do you apply pesticides or fertilizers to your lawn? If so, might think about doing away w/them since any insects or lizards may have residuals on them and could harm the fish or water.
