thats what the endlers are for, when they breed the cat gets food. should save me some $$$ or at least im hoping it does.

A filter that strong will probably cause way too much turbulance in such a small tank. Why not get a 10 gallon...?

thats why i am doing a bumblebee catfish or hillstream loaches or bumblebee gobies, all are fine with currents. and yes it puts off enough current for a 10, but i dont have the room for a 10 right know, this might get turned into a 10 when i move into the basement, twice as big room=more fish!!!

ok so i completely missed the post about dont count fins on a fish and the part about the betta puts off way less waste then a catfish. i feel like such a tard, first off how did i miss that post, and second how did i miss that fact. so then i guess my best bet would be some sort of anabantid like dwarf gourami, croaking gourami, betta, or some other anabantid that is only like 2-3 inches long. sorry i missed that part of the post.

I have 2 bee-cats in my 10.. and imo anything smaller is just not adequete for these guys. they hide all day but are very much out and about and very active at night. they also each need their own hide spots. I had considered moving them into my 5 gal.. but ultimately decided against it. They do a great job of fry control, but are very active. I also tried a hillstream loach in the 5.. and it didn't work very well long-term. I ended up moving him to a 20
