As it says, choose my stock. Something that likes plants, gravel substrate, and food like sinking pellets, flakes, or frozen food. Something relatively cheap as well. Post ideas and however many people agree on this stock, I will get it. Thought this would be fun, since i dont have any other ideas.

Thanks for your time,

What is the average temperature, I think that will make a huge difference.
A cool centerpiece would be an African butterfly fish though. They are arowanas but only get 8 inches and are beautiful from the top.

If they weren’t illegal I’d say clawed frogs. They can tolerate just about all temps and are just awesome.
Not sure about ABFs on temp. The hottest should be okay, but that cold may be a problem.
I think some type of cyprinid is good for the temp range, a lot of them seem to be quite tolerant.

I dont think clawed frogs are illegal. Saw them at Petsmart. ABF's are sweet. I dont think they can survive the outside 45 temps.

May be thinking of dwarf frogs.

Maybe some kind of smaller sunfish + minnows as dithers?

get something native. That way you know it can withstand the temps. I would highly highly suggest some Goodeids. Perfect for the outdoor pond, and it would be great if you could breed some as they are very rare.
