wow so I could get a few for life in that tank? how are you going to cycle your 150?
I have all the filtration running on my 52 for the months....I will keep everything wet while I change tanks.....It should go down like a 80% water change for the fish....no cycle at all!

Wow I wish I had a tank like that to cycle from.... I cant really steal all the gravel from my 26 as tempting as it is xD I was thinking about using safestart, otherwise I'd have to fishless cycle.

And I wish I could keep the 52 going as a grow out!! Only room for one tank! Someday i could move to a 60" 180 gallon i guess.....maybe even go nuts and get a 36" deep 60" tank....maybe 300 gallons! For now i have a planted 10 gallon growout and my office tank soon to be 150!

Any dat will do fine in there. What kind of dat do you like? :)

I was thinking.... 6 silver dollars, 3 yoyo loaches and a silver dat? is that overstocked, and more importantly will grow fast enought that it'll eat the others?

should be fine. a tad understocked if anything but sounds like a nice display with the right decor. Clown loaches may fit better long term as thier max size would work with the dats. I would go for a thin bar or indo though. Silvers tend to be the more aggressive of the dats.

I think the silvers just fit better size-wise, I try to stay on the understocked side for my tanks for the sake of maintenence and also to keep me out of trouble with the ocasional impulse fish buy xD how big do the thin bars get?
