Hi guys ,

Just would like to ask your opinion on which type or home will be the best .

1. 8x4x3 Fiberglass tank with glass window for side view
2. 8x3x2.5 Glass aquarium

No 2 is more 200Usd more expensive the no 1.

My stock currently have 3 pups may be around 5-6" but i'm definitely gonna be having more rays coming real soon. Probably throw in some asian arowana as well.

All opinions and feed backs are appreciated. Tq

option #1.... bigger is always better

Glass will be much nicer to own and work on but the 4 foot front to back is better for the rays, having said that 8x3 is pretty large. I wouldn't want a fibreglass tub in my front room.

glass would be better but with that viewing window that makes up for it and makes number 1 my choice hands down. plus $200 cheaper.

Footprint / size wise #1 is the better option like others have said. Like others said though if it is going in your living room a glass tank might be better to look at. Would cost quite a bit more but maybe option #3 - 8'x4'x3' glass tank :)

For me, my rays are in a 520 gallon - 8'x3.5'x2.5' acrylic tank that is built into the wall of my basement. For my setup and house a fiberglass tub would not look good at all or get the WAF (Wife Approval Factor).

All great comments. One more thing to consider is weight of the empty tank. I highly recommend Acrylic on anything over 300 gallons. One time I was talked into helping move a 9'x3'x3' glass tank (never again). Even with 8 grown men we could barely budge the thing. (Didn't end well)

yeah the tank will be in my dining hall actually but looking at the weight factor im starting to think likewise....ill keep u guys updated...the wife approval factor no problem...hehehe

the cost for acrylic is at minimum 4 times than the cost of glass in this part of the world...
