Choosing a new home for my rays

WAF...
All great comments. One more thing to consider is weight of the empty tank. I highly recommend Acrylic on anything over 300 gallons. One time I was talked into helping move a 9'x3'x3' glass tank (never again). Even with 8 grown men we could barely budge the thing. (Didn't end well)

All depends on how the move is planned. I have two 520 gallon tanks. One is glass and is about 1200lbs empty, the other acrylic and about 400 lbs empty :) Moving my glass tank was very well planned out and honestly was not bad at all....everyone involved (used 12 guys) would help again if needed!

If you have access to sheets of cast acrylic and basic carpentry type skills, you could build your own acrylic tank. I built my own 6x4x2. Your welcome to check out the build in my threads. I imagine it would be considerably more expensive (and time consuming) than fiberglass.
You could also get the fiberglass tank, skin it with a wood cover and build a matching stand.. I considered doing this at one time.

Hi guys ,

Just would like to ask your opinion on which type or home will be the best .

1. 8x4x3 Fiberglass tank with glass window for side view
2. 8x3x2.5 Glass aquarium

No 2 is more 200Usd more expensive the no 1.

My stock currently have 3 pups may be around 5-6" but i'm definitely gonna be having more rays coming real soon. Probably throw in some asian arowana as well.

All opinions and feed backs are appreciated. Tq

i like a glass tank if its opition 1 then i take it that it will be on the floor i hate having to go down low to look at fish with a glass tank you can have it up high
