There are other ctenopoma types that could work well in that tank. They are not easy to find but act like the big ones. Look into them.

I think ill stick to paradise fish. These look pretty fun, and i heard they do eat smaller fish. Saw them at my LFS few days ago.

Mine was a serious character and it would definitely chow fry

Why do you say that? You are young, when you get your own place you can get a tank that can house gars. At your age I was lucky to have had a parent who was into fish keeping and I had already had lots of monster fish. Not everyone gets parents like that or understand what you can gleen from keeping fish. If you want it one day you'll have it.

Okay, almost all the guppies got into the new tank, and i can already see the golden wonders attacking. They mostly fail, but i hope they actually do get better at that.
