Very nice rays, Mark does seem to supply some of the best looking rays....wonder how he does it?
Seems odd to me that the stings are covered, I always thought this was for wild caught fish where the shipper / Catcher new nothing but clearly not the case with Mark...is it a legal thing for shipping?
thanks for all the kind words. That marbled is one of my favorite rays I have bred up till now. Here is a pic with better lighting. The tri-color spots are more visible in it and that is one of the things i like best about this ray.

I have some very cool friends who help me when it comes to providing beautiful rays, also the selection of parents with desirable traits is very important. Willing to go the extra mile to get these desirable fish helps aswell.
The stinger protection is normal in shipping rays, wildcaught and capture bred. I dont do it with tiny pups, but bigger fish I either cut the stingers off or cover them. If you choose not to do this you will certainly kill rays when shipping as they will puncture almost any container or bag. I have shipped hundreds of rays like this and have never had a problem.
