*Christmas* CELIDOS !!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks all of you for your welcoming words!

"Thanks for the clarification as to 'NO GROUP' for celidochilus, I've read elsewhere they are included in the Missioneria group"
Yes I know....and if you ask me....I think it should!

"I think you're the only person to catch them"
I think so too.
The reason can be;
1) Brazil; nobody collects in Rio Grande Do Sul, south Brazil and the celidochilus are just in/around the Rio Cuareim, border to Uruguay.
2) Argentina; the only possibility for them to collect the celidochilus is the Rio Uruguay....and as far as I know, nobody has collected them in the Rio Uruguay.
(here in Uruguay, we dont have any celidochilus in the Rio Uruguay).
For some months ago, I collected some celidochilus in the Rio Tacuarembo and in the Rio Yi (central-north and central Uruguay), but just a few, with some C.minuano and C.missioneira....I dont know what Sven Kullander think about the minuano and missioneira from the Rio Yi (he was here 4 times for collecting with me and he have minuano and missioneira from the 2 diff. basins)....but "in my eyes" they are diff. from the minuano and missioneira from the Rio Cuareim and Rio Uruguay.

Very glad to have you on board.....you will definitely help Crenicichla keepers like me with your knowledge, great addition to the already great cast in this Forum that have been teaching me alot...

Where in NJ? I moved to the Colorado Rockies in the 70's from Jersey - don't really miss the East Coast!

Will post more lip-spot pics as they grow & change ~ maybe every few weeks or so.....
our two are real healthy - tend to exercise their elastic stomachs on a daily basis!
