Christmas Cichlids! Anyone getting any?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, its not a pet, but a friend of mine is working on getting me a very large acrylic tank. About 2500 gal worth. :woot: Not getting my hopes up to high yet. It currently belongs to his cousin, and the cousins wife said he needs to downgrade immediately. So, we will see. :woot: If it happens , it will be after the New Year. But I will just call it a late Christmas gift. :)

Glad yours are so interactive, Both of my new fish have turned out to be the most skittish fish I have ever owned. Getting tired of watching my fish tank from 15 ft away cause its the only time my fish will come out.

is there alot of movement past your tank because that could be why. Cut the lights down in the room a little that helped my fish

i guess these count as Xmas fish, not exactly monsters....i got 5 panamensis, more photos in the media section

my experience as well. The wild caught Vieja Argentea I got has smashed itself into every wall of the tank for the last 3 days when someone comes within 20 feet. Hasn't eaten yet either. In a 90 gallon qt tank by himself in the garage.:irked:

All I want for Christmas is my fish to eat!:(

gonna be a late christmas present to myself but i'm getting a pearlscale phillipines blue angel baby and a few more cories for my new soon to be planted 20L, media for it is ready to go in the canister for my 46 just gotta fill it up and roll :)

I was hoping to get mine too but something went wrong and I have no idea where there are at this point.

Sorry to hear that. Holiday time shipping is crazy. That's why I like air cargo in general.

Jeez, that's too bad. Wild caught fish can be hard to acclimate in tanks.
