hey im new to this site, im very proud of my two colonies of xystichroims phytophagus/ the christmas fulu.
the fish spawning are 2.25 in in legnth and kept in water with a ph. og 8.0
this species is extinct in lake victoria, however is found in limited numbers in the surrounding area like the yala swamp where this strain originated from. they are matermal mouth brooders with egg to free swiming fry taking between 10 days to 18 days, the typical batch of fry is about 18-25, however this female has produced a spawn of 100, hope that you enjoy
