We should have watched closer but were short on tank space. They were doing such a great job figured they would take care of the fry. It has been 2 years since they spawned last maybe they forgot what to do.
I really like the Oscars but they are hard to move as people are timid about large cichlids. Our experience has been they are a mild mannered fish. Even with their eggs they were not terrorizing the tank. Hope they spawn again soon funny thing is they will only spawn in our 250 gallon tank. We gave them their own 120 and they would not spawn just sulk even after6 months. Put them back in the 250 and they were happy again.
