Cich. Istlanums Owners

i dont own any at the moment but i hopefully will someday,

they grow fairly fast, are very aggro especialy when matured, as said they need to be treated like beani.

Istlanum is one of the must have fishes on my list. I had juveniles and one sub adult, and I agree that they are extremely aggressive towards their own kind. I am waiting for the fish to be available again on Jeff's list. Given the experience I had with these fishes, I would keep them apart from each other (will get big sizes) and control their diet very stringently.

They are prone to bloat as juvies, Feed a lot of veggie material when small.
