Check out Fish Palace. A week ago, they had 2 small Kelberi (if you don't mind spending a lot), and they had small Orinos. These fish were probably around 3-4 inches.

If you want something bigger, Denver Tropical Fish Warehouse has a Mono - maybe 10-12 inches? - He has a cool pattern, but it looked like maybe an eye was damaged; it was hard to tell though because he was hiding a bit.

fish palace still has the 6 orinos @ $50 ea. and the 2 kels @ $250 ea. They also have 2 that are labeled as ocels. They look like they are to me, but it's too hard to tell at this size, so there's a chance they're monos. I also went to South Broadway Tropicals, Golden Fish, Fish Den and Todd's today and no one else had any cichla. SBT and FP both had a 5-6" largemouth, but I didn't catch the price.

I'm the opposite...looking for a WC Ocel

i can gather what fr means, but what does it stand for? Did Deep Seize/Denizens go out of business again?

I think that most people like wild caught over farm raised because of the fear of hybridization that happens on these fish farms. Alot of times several species of cichla end up in the same pond. Also I've heard that wild occel look far more colorful than farmed occel.

if this fish is pure, i really dont care if its wild or captive bred. but the problem is that with captive bred fish you cant always tell thats its pure. theyve been bred and hybridized so much that you cant even tell what they are anymore and the colors wont be the same.

if you see what a true, pure ocellaris looks like, im sure you wont be able to resist. ive been trying to find one for a long time now. everybody says theyre common, but that is the farmies. good luck trying to find a 100% real ocellaris :)

You're occelaris is awesome Jose. I thought that it was wild. I definitely want a true occelaris. Totally gorgeous fish.

thanks man, but even he's not a "true" ocellaris. he's a florida guy. not sure if he was caught in the wild or captive bred, but he's not a true SA ocellaris. he came from snookn originally. but i love him, such an awesome beast :headbang2

I had a true ocellaris once that I lost
