Cichla are always freaked

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
when my fish are hungry they try to swim throu the glass but towards me not away from me. in the wild then they get hungry they swim, travelling to get food maybe the small guys get hungry more often im not really sure its only an idea

Well, my sister tapped on the glass and that made them go really crazy.
When they want food they all swim up to me and go crazy.

i remember my baby cichla use to freak out all the time but my big boys in the big tank are like dogs they will come to the front of the tank all the time. once the cichlas got bigger to go in the bigger tank they calm down a lot more and do the same, once they see me enter the room they go straight to the top corner where i feed them all the time. just be patient they will come around

I have noticed the more I came around the more they got used to me.
They maybe stressed some other way but you have to think about how you'd react to see something 100 times your size.

I know right, they are all back to normal, I think it was my sister and them waking up combined into freak mode.

I agree, most of my small cichla were that way. But my orino's weren't. It has a bit too do w/ were the tank is placed. My cichla in the living room are more used to people....compared to the tank in the spare bedroom.

Yea, they are in a separate room.
I am also sure because they are not dark and huddling in the corner.
Also I did a water change.
