Cichla ate rocks... HELP!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just had this recently happen to my jardini...I noticed his stomach full to the max when I moved him to a new tank and was like: I didn't feed you today, and there's no one here for you to eat lol anyways, had to move back to first tank cause of tankmate, and about 3 days later there was 7-8 marble sized pieces of gravel from the tank he was in days before-in the tank he was in now...I suspect he threw it up...
hopefully the bass will be ok...post back and let us know what happens

Yeah even when he had just a few rocks in his stomach he would still eat like theres no tomorrow. But i haven't tried to feed him since his stomach is stretched to the max... cause it looks like its goin to explode and i feel like if i feed it i won't digest well and cause bloat or something??
So... do you guys think i should still try to feed it?? OR try and wait till or IF it spits out the rocks??

feed him, this may help him reject the rocks.

Not me in avatar ;) . You may have to go through the trouble, or seperate this fish. How big are the rocks? and the fish>?

:ROFL::ROFL:lmafooooooooooo he thought you were your own avatar. That's one of the funniest thing I have ever heard of, he Laz maybe you should dress up like that & see if he says "nice costume" the next time.:naughty: Funny as hell man.

I just tried to feed him today... but he has NO interest at all whatsoever in the food... :( Usually even when he had just 2 or 3 rocks in his stomach he would still eat the food that i drop in with a blink of an eye.
Now his stomach is totally stretched to the max... :nilly:and im not even exaggerating. Im worried that he's not able to spit them back out... But i'm still hoping and crossing my fingers.

Awww FUDGE!!!! I just lost the tem today... :( He wasn't able to spit any of the rocks back out. I guess there were soooo many in his stomach that it made it hard for him to even try to cough it out.
