I believe 5. Let me go home and Confirm from my Notes. Last month I really started to believe the male was TOO big to stay in the Breeding tank any longer. Now I am on the Prowl for a 180-210 to be able to dedicate... As I would like the 2' footprint.. Though My wife may not allow me to move them back out
I have had so many things go on while working on their spawns.. that I was Only able to raise 3 fry from one of the first spawns and Then i killed them by adding a 3 inch Cichla and the tank spike.. Leaving only the 3"er alive.
Stuff like Financial, new baby, and second job.. then no second job.. So Until I stabilize again.. This project is on hold.. But I am happy to have been able to breed these in our water here and Raise some fry within a few days or a couple weeks of attaining an inch
The fry are pretty fragile.. The only way I could keep them alive was with almost constant attention and feeding every 2-3 hours for the first 2-3 weeks and then still almost constant attention until I made my fatal error...
