Well since no big ones popped up local or in the surrounding areas or online I am currently growing out 5 brokopondo and 4 intermedia which will be thinned down to the best 2 of each to go into a 8x4 with the Pinima. Here they are... intermedia and 2 brokos take massivore rest are on tilapia and bio gold....a couple orinos as well..... blood parrots were an old technique from xtanks and kendragon to pellet train which worked like a charm. Intermedia were from rapps a month or two ago at 2” now 4” the brokos were from Derek’s fish about 2.5” at the same time now 4” bigger ones are about 6” in the 180

Of course the blood parrots will not be moved on lol and I gave up scaping the 90 growout because the small fire eel up roots everything, the firemouths I had to move to another tank they were used as dithers although the bass killed 4 I moved the remaining 6 to another tank and will rehome them as I have no interest in Central Americans at the moment

Always amazes me how baby bass look then morph into straight stunners, those intermedia look identical to my two when little. Then emerald gems with bright red fins and tons of attitude lol. Sweet grow out group Brokopondo are also interesting if you can keep a good photo log of these guys dirty spots morph

Hope they turn out as good as yours! This is the smallest I’ve had brokos and it is truly amazing as you said.. they sport lines untill around 8” then the lines change to spangles and spot changes

kendragon kendragon what do you think as well?

cigars cigars what do you think about these brokos? Displaying bars I’m not used to thus far, have you seen this on any thus far?

They do and can display bars break apart with size I have some pics of some of my growouts.

WC Broko from Wes first pic you can see vertical bars that break apart as they mature this was my first Broko I brought home from another member around this size.

Definitely a unique maturation process with brokos compared to all other bass. With the white barring turning into spangling and the black breaking apart
