Cichla for a near-future project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha maaaaaan twisting my arm...next thing I know I'll have $300 worth of fish in my tank I wasn't even sure of getting!

Its not the appealing factor so much as it is the overall size of the fish. Like I said I have a 3 foot wide tank, and I don't want to get a species of pbass that's going to be crowded in there.

3ft of width is more than enough for their turning radius and 7ft of length is also more then enough.
maybe u can check what kind of bass are locally available first then google up their adult pictures and see which u prefer. each pb have their own strong selling points and personal preference plays a huge roll. (or u can be like me, indecisive & a greedy human so i went with 5 kels 5 azul and 5 orinos juv's. at a later stage i will being sell off those that i don't like and keeping those that catch my eye

haha I know GENERALLY the LFS's here get "orinos" and "kels" in but they are also notorious for mislabels so who knows what I'd actually end up with haha.

an easy way to spot a orino is when it is stressed out during netting, its round spots will be more obvious, as for kels its alot harder to tell at juv stage and its commonly mixed up with mono's. even if u know which chichla they are the patterns will vary, thus its like a lottery. enjoy the feeding its really fun!
