So I think my rio Yucao is trying to breed with my unknown location orino. Keep flaring up and doin the s thing around each other. Only problem now is that the rio Yucao is badly picking on my rio Ventuari orino. The unknown location orino isn't picking on the rio Ventuari though. I think I might have to give my rio Yucao to my buddy who has my Bahia kelberi. It sucks too cause the rio Yucao is finally turning green!!! They are at least 12" too. The only reason I'm not trying to let them breed is because I don't have the time or tank space for it, plus my rio Ventuari was not cheap and I don't want to see it get killed! My plan is to do a water change tonight and lower the temps since it's fall around here and see if that helps with the aggression.

I really wish I had a wider tank for them or else id keep the rio yucao. I'm not parting with my unknown Orino because his color is green and I love his patterns! I hope rio the Ventuari and unknown location stay cool with each other once and when I remove the rio Yucao.

I'd keep the Yucao, their adult colors are one of the best O's I've seen!

HOw big is the tank they are in?
How many cichla are in the tank now? 2 cichla in a tank is never good unless they are a proven pair.

Thanks guys! Believe me I don't want to part ways with the rio Yucao. My tank is only a150 gal. It's not deep it's more tall then deep. It's only 17" deep :/. I'm wishin now that I would have gotten the deep 150 gal. I can part ways with my other 2 Orinos. Rio Ventuari was too expensive and my other ones color are insane! Here is a pic of the non rio Ventuari and u can see why I don't want to get rid of it! Like I said my rio Yucao just started turning green too :/

Like I said earlier I'm going to do a water change tonight and drop the temps down to about 75 degrees and see what happens. If it keeps them calm till spring then I'll keep it and I plan on investing in 300gal Rubbermaid. I can't have anymore tanks in my house. I need to figure out how to keep the 300gal Rubbermaid warm in the winter time though since I plan on putting it in my garage and I live in Chicago. It's gets very cold during the winter time here.
