Cichla grow out tank

I like the look of a nice glass tank more than I do acrylic. The glass holds its clarity a lot longer than acrylic does. If I was you I would just use the 125 you have for the sump. And then add some more to it...like a bio reactor or a lg canister.

Well acrylic you can resurface it and make it kinda look brand new while glass once you scratch deep its scratched.
Acrylic is lighter and more clear to see through than glass. Acrylic is much stronger as well. Glass have a green tint to it which I don't like its fine if its a small tank but when the glass is thick then very noticeable.

And for it being a sump you can see all the glue used while acrylic can be weld on and look seamless.
Glass only have one thing better than acrylic and its cheap haha.

Well seeing that its only a sump and not your tank I would use the 125g because you already have everything you need and its the cheapest and fastest route to get that 600g up and running. The acrylic looks good but its extra work that won't really make a difference at the end of the day.

Yea just want to get some thoughts to convince myself to just use the 125.
Thanks for that now I'm gonna start working on it.
