hey mfk i just bought a 1-2" pbass yesterday and i was just wondering when you guys think he will start eating and when he will start moving around and when he will start to swim around. yesterday after about 5 hours in his own 29 i dropped a bloodworm cube in there and its still laying on the bottom untouched.

Give him some time, he has to get use to his new surroundings, plus they do better in groups of three or more when there little......Good luck.

Yeah try giving it some time if not soon then try live feeders cause I know mine loves feeders but he's not so into frozen foods as much.

he is stressed did you acclimate him before putting him in the tank? Like houdini said they do better in the packs of 3 or more. he has to get used to the tank before he starts eating. give it a couple of days.. try to put in live blood worms they tend to work the best.

Ok so 2 days ago i dropped like 8 rosies in and now theres only 2 left, but 2 of them also died and im going to get another few but i have store credit at a different lfs but the new store only has 3-4" so whats the quickest way to beef my little one up? Power feed with rosies and blood worms?

whats the temp? should be at 87 for that size. Get him eating some live black worms if it wont eat frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp. First try and thaw the bloodworms...then put in a little at a time and see if it eats.

scince he still a baby he most likey will only eat minnows, bloodworms, an you could even try beefyheart becuz mine tear it up...once they get around 5 to 7 inches it will be easier to switch them over to other foods like tilapia , shrimp an silversides...so just keep working at it and see what happens..good luck
