I recently got two 25-30cm Melaniae. One does however look very different. Im thinking it could be a hybrid, a special local variant or an undescribed species. What do you think? I have never seen a PB with the head coloration of this one before..

Holy cow!!! That is by far one of the nicest Melanie I've ever seen! Any recent pics?

Agreed. Nicest ones that I've seen. Sadly the dude hasn't been on in a while. I would love to see an update myself.

I know top piece is Kelberi, right piece is azul. Any idea what's the one at the bottom? Was bought as Azul but I'm thinking Temensis? However it exhibits some of Azul traits as well..

Just got these two wild caught cichla. It's around 3" looks like a kelberi but yellow/golden. Depending on the mood of the fish. There 3 long vertical bar where spot is at. 20170130_130637_1485811095223.jpg

Hard to see them in the bag and they are stressed. Yeah kind of look like orinos to me.
