Cichla in high pH

lol relax, its not gonna kill them. as long as your ph is consistent and doesnt change all the time, it will be fine. if you really want to lower it the natural and safe way, add driftwood and oak/indian almond/etc leaves

I tried using driftwood AND indian almond leaves. My pH never changed.. Still at 8.2.

I gave up trying to lower it but eventually I will just set up an RO unit..
 
I was just about to ask if the ph effects the bass's colors untill I just saw Scats pics.
 
my tank is around 7.4-7.5 pretty consistantly
 
Cool, thanks everyone. Fish are arriving at the LFS at 6 so I might swing by and pick them up later, or be lazy and pick it up tomorrow.
