Cichla in Pond?

I was thinking about just putting them in there most of the year except winter time to let them grow out...

Its a mighty big pond to heat up using just regular house power. electric company would probably think they are cooking some chemicals and lighting up some plants

I kno you said its a private lake and its unlikey, but also make sure there is no little tributaries or anything that contribute to the pond or lead out of it. If some peacock's get out they have the potential to decimate local ecology.
