Cichla intermedia ... $250 each

They are all over the place. Even 2 of my lfs are currently selling them. One of my supliers will send me as many as I need. Many people that have bought large quantities are holding them because they came in quite small (1'-2"). Some very skinny or with ick. Most are being stabilized and fed so as to et a little growh before bringing to market. Anyway they are great fish and well worth the price, just not "ultra rare" was my point. Thanks

so they are "semi-rare" .... if there are 1000 pcs out there... then it should be more affordable than 250 each ? i cant wait to see them coming out from the dark.....

:iagree: But not neccasarily more affordable because there's 1000pc's out there.. Supply and demand...;)
 
Prices have fallen already. When they first got to the states they were going for $400.00 each. They are now down to $250.00 as stated above. Yes, they will continue to go down in price. Remember back when orinos were vey rare in the hobby? They were going for the same prices as intermedia. Now you can get a juvenile for $20.00 at my lfs.:) Aquatic Warehouse in san Diego has some for $300.00 right now. They will deal on price depending on how many you want. There is a guy here in San Diego that has almost 100 of them but is not selling at this time.
Fishingaddict, there are not large intermedia in the states that I am aware of. They are all juveniles at this point.
