Prices have fallen already. When they first got to the states they were going for $400.00 each. They are now down to $250.00 as stated above. Yes, they will continue to go down in price. Remember back when orinos were vey rare in the hobby? They were going for the same prices as intermedia. Now you can get a juvenile for $20.00 at my lfs.:) Aquatic Warehouse in san Diego has some for $300.00 right now. They will deal on price depending on how many you want. There is a guy here in San Diego that has almost 100 of them but is not selling at this time.
Fishingaddict, there are not large intermedia in the states that I am aware of. They are all juveniles at this point.
of course the price will go down... and its weird that 1000 pcs out there... only few dozen show up (riverwonders). and they know the price will go down...

1000 x $250 = $250,000

I guess if you don't know you are not in the know. BTW I just went by Pet Kingdom here in SD. They also have them for sale. These fish are so ultra rare that even lfs carry them. They have them right next to a tank full of orinos t $29.00. That should tell you something.;)

I have only seen 250 at the local wholesaler who brought them in himself.....how many intermedias does Pet kingdom have and what is the price ???

Imagine that 250 at "one" wholesaler. Imagine how many wholesalers are bringing them in. I was offered the opportunity to bring some in. I passed but a few others did not. I did not count how many they had at pet kingdom. Could be around a dozen for $349.00 each. Aquatic Warehouse sad they could bring in as many as needed. They have them a $300.00 down from $400.00 just a couple weeks ago. Let me ask you john did you buy high?;) You seen bit disturbed or bitter that there my be so many about to flood the market. It's only money. If you like it buy it I always say. Good luck.:)

its all depend on the LFS... and what kind of customer it cater to.... remember that LFS call "Rare Fish" he bought it quite a few "ultra rare" fish ;) ....

im bitter or distrurbed ? :screwy: why would I? I want these fish to flood the market.. so the price can do down... i dont see me buying 2 dozen intermedia at $250 each ;) that is why i start this thread. ;)

i do see now where you are going with this and the reason to come to this site.. ;)

The bitter/disturbed comment was not aimed at you neoprodigy. I asked John and he answered very politely. Thank you. Those lfs here are just general interest stores. Pet kingdom also sells reptiles and rabbits.:D Aquatic Warehouse is actually a salt/reef store with a couple isles of fw fish.

It's crazy how much they are asking for these Pbass. They will realize their is only a hand full of people that would pay that much for a 3"or so Pbass. To each is own and if you can afford it, than by all means. I never grew up wanting the newest bike on the block so I will pass on these high end PBASS. Just like everything else the price will eventually decrease.

Same as the Goliath & Gulper cats. Makes me sick to think how some of these sellers make you feel like they are giving you a deal but if you knew how much they get it for (even w/cost of bringing them in) I doubt you will look at them the same. Talk about no Vaseline.

Looking at Jed's (Trust) tank just proved to me that even common Pbass is bad ass and looks as good.

For a $250.00 PBASS it should be close to 10"...LOL
