The intermedia was well received. Sorry there was only one available at this time.
Attached is my documentary photo of the fish taken in one of my tanks.
For better photos, you'll need to stay tuned for updates from Japan.
I realize that there were many emails and phone calls placed regarding this fish and I greatly appreciate your interest.
I think I know the US market pretty well, and I don't come across many (maybe not any?) folks stateside that would really pay the price for an adult intermedia.
I read this thread and will share this; there was a price thrown out there that does not even equal the cost of this fish BEFORE it leaves the exporter's facility (as in before export costs, freight, and import costs are added on).
It's been more than 15 years that I've been after my Colombian exporters to find this species.
One received in >15 years results in a ridiculously high cost per fish to purchase for import.
Perhaps if small ones/young of the year juveniles can be collected, there may be a more acceptable immediate market price for this species.
I can only encourage exporters and their fisherman to further investigate the possibilities.
