The guys working at that pet shop didn't know much other than that the owner went on a fish buying expedition in Singapore and came back with these. They were $70 each at about 3.5 inches.

Looks Kelzul to me but I've never really seen larger specimens. Nice bass whatever they are!

I guess it's cool to have a pure strain of some type of fish, but just like having children, as long as they're healthy, that's all that really matters. I have grown to love these guys anyways, they were my first pbass.
