However, I think I need to clarify. The fish pictured is not a C. monoculus. It is C. kelberi, one of the newly described Cichla species.
Up until it's description is was considered C. monoculus but had been given the common name of "Super Mono" due to their more intense coloring and patterning than the average C. monoculus.
Hopefully of the three I have two will pair off and do the wild thing.
