Cichla mouth stuck open

Hi all!

My temesis decided to try swallow a big silver dollar. It kept it in its mouth for a day. Mouth wide open. After releasing it, its mouth its still stuck open.
Is there something I can do? Will it close eventually? Picture attached.

I had this happen with Petenia splendida, where the mouth was locked open after capturing prey, I caught it and gently snapped the jaw back into place with thumb and forefinger.

Jaw dislocation.Although none of mine have never had the issue it happens with lots of fish and will probably work itself back into position eventually....or you can try what Duanes did which I have heard of being done from time to time.

BTW I saw a thread where a SD got caught in the mouth. Even think I saw one where it was a red hook.
