Hi
I have used the search button or these and it's been useful but i wondered if i could ask members a few questions of my own. So thanks or your patience.

Originally i was after a ocellaris but they are sold so quickly and unless you are there on the spot you may not get one. The Orinocensis is no different. Well i have heard there are 4 that have just arrived in a shipment at $40 each and they are 4 inches.

I have run out o tanks at present but i have these options 2v tanks i am not even going to mention , my avatar will give you a clue.

I have a potential small grow out which should be OK for a couple of months, in ther i have 6 3 inch tetra's, 2 Calvus at 3 inches (growing out) and a snail community suplying my Puffer with home bred Snails. And a small poly also growing out at 3 inches.
In my other potential tank i have a Gar at 8 inches, a poly at 6 and two lima's at 5. Now i thought it's definately a No No but i have two 3 inch leptasoma's which i have tried to get out but it's near impossible in a 125 gallon tank without stressing the rest and i think if i brought the water down and they all got huddled together they would be eaten anyway ( don't ask why they are in there it is too longer story), so i think ,well in 3 months they have been in there and survived would not the Bass too whilst they quickly put their weight on.

My other enquiry please is i seem to have read that amongst the other species of bass they are not to tolerant of there own so it's one or two. Space does not come into it as i can accomadate both later on but i can't seperate them at present if things get out of hand
I have a larger tank starting to mature today with a well established filter taken from another tank into the fresh tank. How long will that take , i have always just started from scratch which takes time but with a mature filter straight in.....How long do you think

Question

HELP!.....My Pure Bass Wizards....:(

i would not risk putting the 4inch pbass in the 125g becuase of the 8"gar

p.bass are not really that intolerant of their own providing you keep a gruop of say 6 to spread out aggression, yes there will be some scuffles but nothing serious

iv got work now so il try answering your questions later

what is the temp and pH of the small tank? Considering that you have Af. Cichlids in there, it might not be ideal for bass.

the 125 doesn't sound very good, either because of the gar. Is there a chance you can divide it?

it's better to have one or 3+, but 2 can work out sometimes, too. It's not usually like keeping two pikes together.

like pwmin said if u could divide the 125 it would be good. and as for agression i have 5orinos at around 6-7inches and 1 mono that is 7inches and the biggest orino only pics on the mono. every now and then the orinos push each other around but there are never any serious injuries or any at all.but like ppl say the more the merrier.

Oh Dear.

Well i managed to get another tank up and running so the Bass can be in a matured grow out tank for a few months on their own

But

I saw some temensis and well eeeerrrr mmmmmm eeeerrrrr.
I prefered them so i got the last two:ROFL:

So i am chuffed, i know they go bigger as Bass go but i will have the space when they do.

PS......Are some of you amazed on how small some of the tanks that house bass on u-Tube....I think some are just redicuolously small

Oh yes and pwmin i am a great steelers Fan too. I hope our defence plays a bit better than the eagles game, i thought they where a bit down on form.
I am in England now but i will still be waving the TT on Sunday

oh, dear, tems? :D glad to hear you got everything sorted out. I'm dreading having to find a big enough tank for my tem :D

lol, that's cool. I need to get a towel :D I live in CO, but am from PA. I would like the Eagles, too if it wasn't for McNabb

Have you got a piccy of him:D

I tell you what though, pittsburgh is bloody cold at times.
Froze me nuts off sometimes:WHOA::screwy:

I saw the vikings there, it was quite a mild day, i think it was about -5:screwy:

The only other team i saw was the 49'ers with Montana at the helm. Ronnie Lott to this day is the best defensive back i have ever seen.
