I'm so jealous. the Niners have always been my favorite team. I wish I could've gone to a game back in the hay-day (sp.?).

I saw the steelers when i was a kid back in the late 70's, that's when i started to support them.They were a great side and The 49'ers were the worst team in the NFL.
They got trashed by everyone.
Then they sacked the whole defensive secondary and bought in 4 rookies in one game.
It changed their season. The niners then took on this guy called Montana.
The rest is history.
That play 'The catch' in the NFC play off against the snooty cowboys deserves it's name, i have never seen a throw under pressure when you are loosing with 1 minute left on the clock like that and the catch was incredible.Then they followed up with Young as QB and he was almost as good. I watch it on sky now but i miss it so much live...
