LOL while you're excited I'm trying to figure out where I am going to put 30 boxes of fish in 2 weeks. The azul are in Tampa growing fast, I am waiting on the other cichlas to come in so I can make one trip to pick them all up at the same time. At the rate my suppliers are getting government clearance on paperwork its looking more like week of June 5-8.

Wc kelberi are in high demand now because they are so rare. Azuls and orino's have been available the last couple months. The one way to get rid of so many cichla would be to walmart em.....sell em cheaper than everyone else. NOt $30 cheaper but $50 cheaper. Shark aquarium has azuls, Rapps has azuls and Wes has azuls. And now you do as well. IMO the only way to sell em quick is to sell em cheap.

BUt some real nice wc kelberi will sell like hotcakes!

Spoken like a true hobbyist who hasn't imported from brazil or have overhead to pay ;)

With the inherent cost of the fish, import fees, govt taxes, USFW inspection fees, overhead for store/warehouse, employees, etc to sell them for much less than my current price would amount to working for free. How would you like your paycheck to be zero?

You may assume azuls are 'common' now, I have only seen them on my suppliers' (and I have many) lists once in past 6 months. I would assume Rapps, Wes, etc all jumped on them like I did when they had the chance.

Maybe they will show up on future lists, maybe they won't. My cost on them doesn't change based on who already has them, it's what my suppliers are selling them for. I don't need to sell them fast, I'm selling to collectors who do not have these beautiful fish yet.

If Kelberi show up on the list and I buy 200 of them does it make them not rare anymore?

I totally agree with you on needing a pay check but tech yes it would lol. If you and 4 other suppliers all get 200 in, that's 1000 fish flooding the market and therefore prices will and should drop. But I'm not dumb and understand the need to make money an run a business. Selling them for no profit will run you into the ground lol. But some people won't pay too much if there's a sudden influx of these guys
