thanks ! My wife do think so too ! I went to the edge of her tolerance, I guess... In french part of fishhobbyist Europe, we have a "WAC" (aka Wife Acceptance Coefficient)... and mine has exploded on this project ! I should keep as discreet as possible, the next months...

a little vid from this week-end... iPhone led on the edge of the front wall, against the front glass... and I tried to let food fell on the bottom right under this section

the Baryancistrus sp "Snowballs" is 7 inches long and approximatively 5 feet away from the front glass
 
difficult to obtain decent quality pictures with so much suspended mud, strong current, little quick fishes and so poor light... the only way to have something worth to watch is, for the moment, iPhone videos.

I'll take time next week-end...

weekly water changes by adding tap water directly into it (I have an overflow directly incorporated), around 800 liters

when necessary (Panaque wastes, uneaten food), suction bottom directly to waste waters, with a home-made giant pipe.
 
There is a big problem with lightning in big tanks like these. For mine in a couple of years I will try to include two windows facing the outside, heavy lightning and some other lightning under water to reach the lower areas.
Still you must have a good Amazonic look there ;)

Sounds good with the filtration.
 
I don't need much more light for the fishes, that like it so... and as I only have above water plants (excluding Salvinia and Limnobium, of course), I really don't need a powerfull light.

remember the stingrays, arowanas, cichlas and Panaque are quite confident in dark muddy waters...
