No it sucks your in Ohio. CA has way more outdoor activities/opportuinities. Pack your bags and come join the cool kids isde. The only thing cool in Ohio is Cedar rapids amusment park.

Lol, thats Cedar Point and I could visit but idk about moving. If I move anywhere it would be back to Florida.

Hasn't really changed much. Starting to grow blue scales on the bottom side, along the belly & bottom chin line. I'm having trouble keeping its red eyes.. though it seems when it's in the dark for a long time, it helps.

My cousin feeds his massivore & the colors are coming out more. Another month or two and I'll switch over from sinking carnivore.

Aren't carnivore and massivore the same formula just different size? Try adding freeze dried krill to help with red eyes, I've heard that it helps.

yup, but according to Hikari, they vary slightly (sinking is specifically designed to boost the growth of small fish). But yea you're right, pretty much the same formula. My cousin feeds massivore & doesn't do nearly enough WCs than me and his still looks better. Maybe his just got better genes

I've heard the same about krill. I'll pick some up on the next trip to the LFS

They are probably gonna lose their red eyes regaurdless. Its probably just not in their genes. Azuls dont have red eyes and most kelberi dont either.
Keep the pics coming girldogs! I know there is a lot more out there. If you dont post pics your just another female puppy.
Lets see some pics of your buddies khoa.

there isn't much to show. lol just got a tem and 3 sp. rio xingus. when they get bigger, I'll post a few pictures.

G, have you seen cichla juveniles that had red eyes and grew up without any? I was thinking the exact opposite, that with time it grows more prominent. Oh, and my temensis used to have blood shot eyes and it too has it's phases (when one cichla has red eyes, the other does too).
