does anybody owns cichla sp xingu & trombetas???any pics??r they rare &what r their prices??thx

Xingu are very hard to find period... There are only a hand full in the states and even in Japan and Germany there aren't many... They kind of trickle in...

I'm not sure what you would pay for them where you are located, but here in the states an Xingu would go for $500-$800...

"trombetas" I really have no idea... I don't know of anyone who has a confirmed on in their tanks... Could be $30-$500... IMO

Let's see... a new seller with zero reputation all of the sudden pops up on an auction site with a fish that is illegal to export and has never been available in the U.S... :grinno:

BUYER BEWARE!!

The seller on Aquabid advertising several rare species of Cichla is to be looked at with carefully. When contacted and asked if they could provide me with pictures of the actual fish for sale they referred me to a German website. In fact, the pictures used to show the fish on Aquabid are lifted from the same site. Thus far there are no actual photos of the fish being offered.

I've requested actual photos of the fish for sale but I suspect there will be none forth coming.

On top of it all the sellers e-mail is sirdooshbag@yahoo.com :irked:

Either the guy thinks he's funny or he's looking to rip people off. In either case you'll not get what's being advertised and be out a significant amount of money.
