Cichla Substrate.. I go bare... you?

how many of you got a bare tank for your pbass... ? im debating adding something on the bottom....

Good subject, I wanted to know too. I'm dying to go black sand but think that will show too much dirt. Debating on bare bottom with it painted black.

Right now I use white sand.

one thing about sand... when you have big pbass ... they will fans the sand will go into the pumps and filter ... them those equipment up...

i agree with neo, black sand is sweet though, i like river-rocks

Just coat the bottom with big rocks, that would be cool, although I like the Asian barebottom style too.
