ideas on substrate and plants?

Don't blame me if these are bad news for cichla, but I know it will look good. Black sand and amazon sword. The really tall ones Lovely tank. That should gbe great to scare inlaws from ur house LOL

well as of 1/6/09 i have the tank stand canopy and sump filter;
all i need now is a heater some large driftwood,substrate,liveplants. any ideas on substrate and plants?

substrate,go with natural or dark substrate.
as for plants....i cant keep any plants alive.
so i use plastic.

i really want some ferns and moss on my drift wood but um dark sub goes good too i was thinking more D-Mack looking i really like how his has thoes big river rocks thats really nice.
