Cichla week

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ken- So my water changes I sometimes do not get sufficient flow afterwards... & it seems to be always from my bio filter, not the mechanical one. I just backwash again for a few seconds & then it comes out strong. I figure it may be the bio inside just settling in a way to affect the flow. What is your opinion? Anyway, here are some pics for cichla week!:

no....the one top right is the soposed 18" 24k.you can see the 19" female makes him look like a dwarf.if he weren't such a nice piece, I would have been furious. some people don't know how to read a tape measure! I measured him in the box at 16-16.5"..hopefully he turns into a stud!all the rest I've had quite some time

Do you hear gurgling in the chamber? It could be you got air trapped in the chamber especially if you used the blower. Air rises and this is a down flow filter so with air trapped in the top of the chamber, you have to burp it by depressing the handle till all the air escapes. FYI, you only need a few puff of air from the blower. Do not run for more than a few seconds.

So the little one in the middle is the one you just got? Shorting you 3" of gold is worth a lot but again you got the golden goose.

three inches is a big mess up when it comes to measuring a bass of that size.
THe girth gained w/ each inch when they hit 14" or so is drastic.
SO you only picked up one of those wc kelberi from OSA?
WOuld love to see a few more pics ;)
